Jule Y. Scott, Jr., passed away at home at 1:27 pm July 10, 2021, following an extended illness. He was born March 5, 1938, in Chillicothe to the late Jule Y., Sr. and Susan E. {Oakes} Scott. On January 1, 1987, he married the love of his life, Nikki Eastep, who survives.
Also surviving is his step-son Kim (Sara) Veris, of Strongsville; son Kevin Scott of Chillicothe; daughters Angela (Wendell) Scott-Tucker of Reynoldsburg and Valerie Scott of Chillicothe; step-grandchildren Justin Veris and Kyle (Colleen) Veris; grandchildren Cameron Tucker, Kevin (Jessica) Scott II, Keipher Scott and Kayla Tucker; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; special cousin Norman Corbett and special friend Paul Harris.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sisters Patrea Ann Fitchpritch and Sandy Eddings; brothers Bobby, William and Melvin Scott.
Jule attended Chillicothe High School. He later served in the United States Air Force from 1955 until 1958. He retired from General Electric in 1998 and celebrated 40+ years of sobriety as an avid and active member of the Ravenna AA chapter, where he actively engaged to help people struggling with sobriety. Jule enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, boating, traveling, as well as working with the Voting Polls and supporting charities within the Summit/Portage County community during the holiday season.
