Bruce Harvey Ensminger, age 89 of Akron made it to his 69th wedding anniversary on Sunday, June 13, 2021, before passing away peacefully. He was born in Akron on October 12, 1931, a son of the late Harvey M. and Virginia {Krall} Ensminger.

Bruce loved sports, and played basketball, football and tennis for the University of Mount Union, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree. He held the university's record for number of interceptions in a single season. Bruce worked at Goodyear for 35 years, starting out on a management training squad, doing things like giving tours of the local Akron plant facilities. He spent the majority of his career working with tire plant equipment and personnel studies, presenting the results to upper level management. One of his favorite tools was a slide rule. Bruce loved to fish, and he and Rich made 25 fishing trips to Canada together, creating twice as many memories. He directed the youth and adult choirs at Oak Hill Presbyterian Church, and was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army.
