In Memory Of
Charles Joseph "Chuck" Marotto, Jr.
1987 - 2021

Charles Joseph "Chuckie" Marotto, Jr., age 34 of Akron entered the gates of heaven on Friday, June 11, 2021. He was born on May 27, 1987, the son of Charles J. Sr. and Elizabeth {Hadley} Marotto.

He was a 2005 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School where he was a member of the varsity football and wrestling teams. Chuckie was a natural athlete and enjoyed playing many different sports. His most favorite sport to play was baseball. He enjoyed spending time with his parents and watching sports with his Dad, they were both lifelong Cleveland Browns fans. He shared a love of gardening and flowers with his Mom, they both found it calming and relaxing. Chuckie’s favorite flower was an oriental lily. Chuckie was a great brother, he was always looking out for his two sisters trying to protect them. It didn’t matter to him that he was younger than both of them, he was the only brother and felt it was his duty. That’s just who Chuckie was and if you knew him you understood just how deeply he loved his family and friends. He was smart, funny, he was a kind-hearted soul with the most beautiful blue eyes, a contagious laugh, huge smile, and an even bigger heart. He had a passion for helping people and would do or give anything to someone in need without even a second thought. He was a devoted and loving father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.

Chuckie loved his son and family more than anything in this world. He was so proud the day his son Santino was born, that pride and adoration grew more and more with each new day. He loved to tell everyone he knew or met that his greatest accomplishment in this life was his son Santino, he was his one true love. His favorite way to spend his time was with his son learning new things from him as well as teaching him new things and sharing similar interests. Chuckie loved sharing his passion for all Cleveland sports with his son and couldn’t wait to watch the Cleveland Browns have another winning season and hopefully get to watch them play in the Super Bowl with his son and the rest of his family. Chuckie was a true kid at heart; he loved to laugh, joke, act silly, play video games, and go on adventures with his son, niece, and two nephews. He had so much fun spending time with them and loved making lasting memories with them.

Chuckie was so easy to love and will be so deeply and truly missed by his son, family, friends, and so many others whose lives he has touched. Though he has departed this life way too early he will forever live on through those that he loved and loved him. Until we meet again...

Chuckie was greeted in heaven by his loving and faithful dog Mikey, his grandfather Charles A. Marotto, grandmother Karen L. Keifer and great-grandmother Elizabeth Bowman.

He will be deeply missed by his son, Santino Joseph Marotto; His beloved bulldog Lily; parents Charles and Elizabeth; sisters Amy (Justin) Pelfrey, Sr. and Christina Marotto; Nephews and niece, Matthew, Justin Jr, and Isabella; grandmother Joann Marotto. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Per Chuck's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a memorial service in his honor will take place on Tuesday, June 22 at 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron 44305.
