Karl passed away peacefully at home on June 1, 2021 at the age of 92 surrounded by his children. Born on November 4, 1928, in Canton Ohio. After graduating from Timken High School, he worked as a mechanical/design engineer, retiring from Central States Can Company.
He was preceded in death by his beloved first wife, Betty, to whom he was married 38 yrs and his second wife, Patricia (Swanson), to whom he was married 26 yrs. He is survived by his children, Barbara Villa of N. Canton, Beverly Davis of N. Canton, Bill (Pam) Frentzel of Canton, Karla (Marty) Kettler of Charlotte N. Carolina, and Kurt Frentzel of Canton; step children, Susan Swanson (Ed McKeon) of Worcester, MA, Drew (Denise) Swanson of Wadsworth, Maureen Swanson of Cuyahoga Falls, Jim Swanson of Cuyahoga Falls, Dave (Trish) Swanson of Wadsworth and Tim Swanson of Medina, 22 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Always putting family first, Karl was a great teacher, mentor, handyman and a fixer of everything. He had a great sense of humor and soft and caring voice. Everybody who knew Karl just adored him. He will be greatly missed.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church in N. Canton on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 10:00 AM. A celebration of life with the family will be held at St. Paul's social hall immediately following. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Karl’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
