In Memory Of
Lee Junior Harris
1928 - 2021

On May 8, 2021, Lee Junior Harris, age 92, of Suffield Twp., Ohio, was reunited in heaven with his wife, of 63 years, Lou Ann. He died at home surrounded by his loving family.

Lee was born on September 30, 1928 in Copley Ohio, the son of the late Robert Lee and Lucy (nee Ringler) Harris, and later moved to Randolph Twp.

He served in the United States Army from 1950-1952, before returning to Randolph where he married his wife, the former Lou Ann Laubert on September 14, 1957 and raised his family before moving to Suffield in 2013.

He drove truck for over 40 years before retiring. Toward the end of his truck driving career, he took up golfing, which became his passion. He took a job at Paradise Lake Country Club where he worked ground maintenance until he retired from the golf course after 30 years. Lee was a charter member of the Randolph Lions Club and golfed in the Randolph Men’s Golf League until 2019 at the age of 91. He was an avid sports fan and loved the Cleveland Indians and the Browns.

There was no greater husband, father, grandpa or paw paw and he will truly be missed by his family and friends and anyone who knew him.

Survivors include his loving children, Carol (Joseph) Maddox and Michael (Andrea) Harris; and his daughter-in-law, Teresa Harris.

He was the best grandpa to Brittany (Kevin) Bittner, Megan (Zachary) Cunningham, Michael Harris, Tyler Harris and Hunter Hillis; and his great-grandchildren, Kevin, Margaret and Maryann Bittner, Abigail Cunningham and one on the way, Robert Anthony Cunningham.

Other than his parents, Lee was preceded in death by his wife, Lou Ann on December 4, 2020; his son, Robert Lee Harris; and his sister Eileen Harris.

There will be a celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the Randolph Community Center. Burial of his cremated remains was private in German Reformed Cemetery with his beloved wife.

All arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron.
