Sheila Jeanne Squires, age 72 of Akron, Ohio, passed away Thursday, May 6th, 2021. She was born on October 20, 1948 to the late Kenneth "Darrell" and Pauline (McGraw) Walker. Sheila was a longtime member of Cornerstone Family Church, where she was involved in several groups through the years, including the H.A.N.D. ministries, which helped families in need by providing food and monthly dinners for those in the community. She enjoyed board games, baking her famous cookies and cakes, going out to dinner, putting a smile on peoples' faces and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Sheila was preceded in death by her brother, Dalton "Ray" Walker; in-laws, James and Maryann Squires. She will be greatly missed by her loving and devoted husband of 53 years, Robert "Bob"; children, Scott (Deborah) Squires, Kimberly (Christopher) McClaskey; sister, Denise Rhoads; granddaughter, Dawnanna Squires (Stephen); great grandchildren, Chayse and Korbin.

To know Sheila is to love her. She will be dearly missed by her family, her church and her friends.

Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will take place Friday, May 14th at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Due to Covid 19 concerns please expect to wear masks and follow current social distancing guidelines.
