In Loving Memory of Patricia “Pat” Phillips-Merechánt
Patricia “Pat” Merechánt, age 70 of Akron, Ohio, passed away on April 30, 2021, at Summa Hospice Palliative Care.
Pat was born on August 17, 1950, to the late Hiram Phillips and Alma L. Jones (Reese Phillips). She attended South High School and participated in the marching band.
Pat loved her family and friends, but she had a special love for all animals. From childhood through her adult life, she’s had every kind of pet you can imagine.
Other than Pat’s parents, she was proceeded in death by grandmother, Daisy Boykin; son, Daren Anderson; and niece, Tarkesta Landry.
Pat is survived by her brother, retired military, Sgt. First Class E7 Gary (Gloria) Phillips Sr.; sister, Shellie (Donovan) Landry; nieces, Tonya (Vincent) Parham, Jacqualine, Kenisha and Olivia Landry; nephews, Gary Phillips Jr., Ronnell Jones Jr. and O’Bryan Landry; and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will be having a private memorial service at a later date.
