Dan William Gostlin, 67, of Tallmadge, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend died while in the loving arms of family on April 13, 2021 after a short battle with cancer. Dan, was born February 12, 1954, in Akron, Ohio to Betty and Donald W. Gostlin. He graduated from Field High School in 1972, where he met and fell in love with the love of his life Joanne Demboski (Gostlin) and they were married on November 11, 1972, in Mogadore, Ohio and were married for 48 years. Dan, a retired Arborist, and tree surgeon was known by all who knew him to be an avid fisherman, hunter, and pool shark who loved the outdoors and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife, Joanne Gostlin; sons, Matthew Gostlin, Donald Gostlin (Denise Cleavenger), Dan Gostlin, and Justyn Gostlin (Katie Mokler); grandchildren, Logan, Chloee, Abigail, Donald, Owen, and Gavin Gostlin; brother, Donald (Vicki) Gostlin; and sisters, Cindy (Ken) Quesenberry and Penny (Mike) Spickard; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by parents, Betty and Donald Gostlin. Private services to be held followed by open calling hours where the family will receive people wishing to pay their respects from 5-7p.m. on Tuesday April 20, 2021 at Newcomer 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, Ohio 44305. A celebration of life to be held at a later date.
