In Memory Of
Gabrielle Larissa "Gabs" Cicala
1997 - 2021

A beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend, Gabrielle Larissa Cicala, 23, of Uniontown, Ohio left this world unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 30, 2021. Gabs was born on May 31, 1997 in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of Melissa L. Dial and Edward S. Cicala. The name Gabrielle means, "Gift from God", and she truly was a gift to her family, friends, coworkers and other lives she touched for all of her 23 short years.

Gabby was a girlie girl who was never afraid to get dirty. Whether dressed up for celebrating or dressed down for mudding, Gabby embraced life with fearless enthusiasm. She loved Coach bags, her Jeep, country music, cowboy boots, spa days, fashion, shopping, Chinese food, making home cooked meals, traveling and capturing pictures during her experiences as she lived life to its fullest! She LOVED her dog, Bear. She was funny, outgoing, had a cheerful spirit, contagious smile, was thoughtful and incredibly generous. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she had the hardest time trying to keep gifts a surprise because she felt like she would burst with the anticipation of the holiday and trying to keep multiple secrets all at once. Gabby's short legacy of kindness and her sparkle of joy she brought to all the lives she touched will live in our hearts forever.

Gabrielle was totally dedicated to her position as a Dispatcher at Kenan Advantage Group in Canton, Ohio and was commended for her outstanding professionalism, perseverance and work ethic. She loved her job and put her entire heart and soul into helping her drivers on the job each day.

It was her dream to marry her true love, Jordan Ghezzi, who brought her so much happiness, and she was looking forward with great anticipation to becoming his wife.

Gabrielle is preceded in death by her grandfathers, James A. Dial and Edward S. Dzubay. She leaves behind her parents, Melissa L. Dial and Edward S. Cicala, sister Gianna L. Veimau-Cicala, grandmothers Beverley K. Dial (Nana) and Judith L. Dzubay, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio, 44305. Calling hours are from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. with the ceremony following at 6:00 p.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations and gifts be made to Blessings in a Backpack, a non-profit organization that supplies hunger-free weekends to elementary children.
