Janice Lynn Mohan, "Jan", age 61 of Uniontown, Ohio, died on February 18, 2021 in Akron.

She was born in Akron on November 1, 1959, the daughter of Ronald Mohan of Ohio and Edna (nee Crawford) Connell of Lakeland, FL.

Jan was a graduate of Ellet High School. She was a waitress serving the public in various restaurants throughout the Akron area. Jan was a people person and loved being part of her customer's lives. Her co-workers meant the world to her.

She enjoyed the beach and anything having to do with the water and soaking up the sun. Jan was an avid animal lover, especially her fur baby, Samantha.

In addition to her parents, Janice is survived by her two loving sons, Tristan CS (Jonathan Stokes/Laurie) Stewart of Canal Fulton and James "Jimmy" Yontz of Akron; and her grandchild, Faith Forinash.

Also surviving is Jan's loving companion, Ron Rechnitzer; and her sister, Rhonda (Daniel) Migchelbrink.

Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, on Thursday, February 25, 2021 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. The funeral service will be on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 11:00 AM.
