Thomas Lawson Sr., 79, passed away peacefully at home on January 18, 2021. He enjoyed spending time with family, taking trips to West Virginia, restoring old cars, dancing, listening to country music and spending time outdoors. Tom was a very loveable guy and had a personality that attracted you to him. He retired from Liberty Harley Davidson in 2003 and continued to work maintenance for automotive dealers until 2016.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Flossie; wife, Evelyn; 4 brothers; and 2 sisters. He is survived by his loving spouse, Judy; children, Thomas Jr. (Christine), Rebecca, Natalie (Charles) and Kevin (Lauren); grandchildren, Cody (Kaitlen), Shawn Carl (Charlie), Zachary (Jenna) and Jacob (Sarah); great-grandchildren (and the loves of his life), Aidan and Grayson; sisters, Hazel (Lindsey), Nora Mae, Lorean, Shirley June, Marlina, Minnie Pearl (Butch); brother, Jerry (Darlene) and Jimmy (Yvonne); and many other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4-8pm on Friday, January 22 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH. Funeral service will take place at 1pm on Monday, January 25 at Roach Funeral Home, 708 Braxton St., Gassaway, WV 26624, with visitation from 12-1pm. Interment will be at Eureka Cemetery in Strange Creek, WV. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to a charity of your choosing or a veteran organization.

Per health department regulations, masks are required to be worn at the funeral home and social distancing is to be observed.
