Patricia "Jo" Greathouse
1935 - 2020

Patricia "Jo" Greathouse, 84, passed away November 20, 2020 with her family by her side after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's. Born in Akron, Ohio to Arthur and Patricia (DeHart) Jones, she was a lifelong resident of Rootstown.

Jo was a member of Friendly Neighborhood Club, Parkinson's support group and the Ravenna Church of Christ. She enjoyed singing Karaoke, playing guitar, quilting, hosting get togethers at home and spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Jo is preceded in death by her husband, Charles, Sr.; sister, Gertrude Grove, brothers, Artie Jones, Albert Jones; great grandson, Bently Greathouse-Thompson. She will be sadly missed by children, Charles (Linda) Greathouse, Jr., David (Susan) Greathouse, Sr., Cynthia Kerr, Joseph Greathouse, Daniel Greathouse; brother, Ronald (Linda) Jones; sister in-law, Grace Jones; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; many great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to everyone who took part in Jo's comfort and care during the past several years.

Family and friends are invited to visit Tuesday, November 24, 2020 from 10:30 to 12:00 noon at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will immediately follow at 12 noon. Interment will take place at Homeland Cemetery, Rootstown. Due to Covid 19 concerns expect to wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Jo's name to the American Parkinson's Disease Association.
