James A. Pronio, 78, passed away October 15, 2020 with his wife by his side. Born in Akron, Ohio, he was a lifelong area resident. He retired from the City of Akron, where he worked as Superintendent of Street Cleaning. Jim was known for his sense of humor and he enjoyed baseball, gardening, fishing and spending time with his family.
Preceded in death by sister, Margie Zappa, he will be sadly missed by his wife of 32 years, Joyce; children, Andrew (Rachael), Joe, Sr., Angie (Bill), Sean; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will take place Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Hillside Memorial Park. Please expect to wear masks and practice social distancing. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Jim's name to the charity of their choice.
