Marie E. Davis, 92, passed away August 8, 2020 with family by her side. Born in Akron to William and Goldie Adaline (Fitzwater) Shaffer, she was a lifelong area resident. Marie worked in the factory during WWII to help in the war effort. She had a warm beautiful spirit and always looked on the bright side of everything. Marie loved her family dearly and enjoyed the company of every person she met. She had an amazing memory of those she met throughout her life and a genuine concern for others. Marie enjoyed camping, baseball, bingo, puzzles, western movies; but most of all she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen E. Davis; son, Gary; sister, Irene Puck; brothers, Bill, Bob, Creed, Claude, Cecil, Ellis and Carl Shaffer. She will be sadly missed by children, Glen, Sharon (Gary) Wymer, Joy Stevens, Gail (Roger) Pittman; grandchildren, Chryse, Dana, Sean, Zach; great grandchildren, Ian, Keith, Kayla, Charlie; brother, Russell (Kathryn) Shaffer; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

The family wishes to thank the many people who cared for Marie through the years.
