Robert C. “Bob” Sims, Sr., age 91, of Springfield passed away on August 3, 2020 at Altercare of Hartville. Bob was born in Hiawasswee, GA on February 8, 1929 to the late Elijah and Bessie {Burch} Sims.
Along with his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his son, Ron, on August 2, 2015.
Bob retired from the Ford Motor Company, and was a member of Goodyear Heights Community church for many years.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Vaughn; son Robert Sims, Jr. and his wife, Toni; grandchildren Jason, Amy, Hillary and Phillip; 6 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Robbi.
Bob’s family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of Altercare of Hartville for their compassionate care, and to dear friends Jay and Theresa Sudvary.
