Sherri Lynn (nee Stover) Slonsky, age 52, of North Canton, Ohio, died after a long courageous battle with cancer, at her home, surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, July 26, 2020.

She was born on December 8, 1967 in Akron, the daughter of the late John D. and Freda L. (nee Russell) Stover.

Sherri was a graduate of Springfield High School and obtained a Masters Degree from Ashland University in Business with a concentration on human resources.

Sherri worked for BWXT as a radiation safety officer. She enjoyed shopping, riding with her husband on their motorcycle, music, her dog, Louie, and traveling. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her loving husband, Shawn Slonsky, whom she married on March 6, 2004; her children, Dylan, Rachel and Zachary Slonsky; her siblings, Terry Stover, Sandra Boone, Brenda Boarman, Gary (Jackie) Stover, Dale (Dorothy) Stover, Mark (Candy) Stover and John (Patty) Stover; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends mourn her loss. A special shout-out to John (Joyce) Eldridge.

Also surviving are her father-in-law, Leonard (Cathy) Slonsky, her mother-in-law, Sandra (nee Bulick) (Ronald) Hoover; and her husband's siblings and their families, Sherri (Ed) Burnside, Scott (Tina) Slonsky, Shannon Slonsky and Shai Litt.

Other than her parents, Sherri was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Stover and her brother-in-law, Gary Boarman

Memorial services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron on Friday, July 31, 2020 at 6:30 PM, where family and friends may visit from 5:00 PM until the time of the service.
