Linda L. Townsend, age 60, of Tallmadge, Ohio, passed away on February 15, 2020 at her home.

She was born on March 12, 1959 in Berea, Ohio, the daughter of the late John and Jacqueline (nee Dominick) Johnson.

Linda worked in the accountant department of Alltel, retiring after 17 years. She enjoyed watching TV, especially Judge Judy and the Crocodile Hunter; she loved computers and the internet; and relaxing in her chair working her crossword puzzles and knitting. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her loving husband, John B. Townsend, whom she married on September 18, 1980; her two daughters, Samantha (Larry) Burner and Jessica (Ray) Skotschir; her grandchildren, Ashton, Zoe, Peyton, Savannah and Mackenzie. Linda's siblings also survive, Patricia (Joe) Olivera, Phyllis (Mark) Glenny and John (Christine) Johnson; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, where Pastor Amy Downard will celebrate Linda's life.

Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM.
