Carol J. Pinney, 80, of Akron, passed away at her residence on February 6, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was born to parents Marshall and Elsie on April 22, 1939. She graduated from Ellet High School, class of 1958.

Carol was a member of the Community Baptist Temple church where she volunteered in the nursery, watching the newborns. She was a proud grandma, “Gigi”, and great-grandma and loved spending time with them. Carol was a big animal lover. She also enjoyed shopping and going out to eat with her husband. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband James; brother James Congrove; sister Joyce Coble; and sister-in-law Lynn Congrove.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Denise Wilson; grandchildren, James Brady Jr., and Natasha Brady; great-grandchildren James, Briana and Gracie; adopted grandkids; adopted grandkids, Marisa Mauck, Melissa Kungle, and James Gregory; best friend Sherry Deel; brother Robert Congrove; sister Ruth Congrove; and many nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will held by her family.
