John H. Baker III Life story video
John "Johnny" H. Baker III, 72, of Lakemore, went home to be with the Lord on August 6, 2019 with his beloved wife at his side. He was born on December 25, 1946 in Akron, Ohio. He graduated from Springfield High School, and went on to serve in the US Airforce. He was a member of the Army Navy Club Post 273, where he served as a commander. Johnny was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time hunting. He was a member of the Local 18 union for 50 years, where he worked as a heavy equipment operator.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Thelma Baker.

He will be deeply missed by his wife of 34 years, Edwina Baker; sister, Janet (Martin) Tiffner; brother, Joe (Renee) Baker; good friend, J.D.; nieces, nephews, and many friends.

A memorial service will take place on Thursday August 15, 2019 at 12pm at Crossview Church 737 George Washington Blvd, Akron, OH 44312, with an hour of visitation prior.

Inurnment to take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
