He was born on April 21, 1931 in Bethesda, Ohio, the son of the late Edward and Della (nee Wood) Hall.
Ron was an Alliance Fireman for 29 years, retiring in 1981. Not only was he a firefighter but also a welder for HighCon Manufacturing in Alliance. He had many interests and hobbies, and never really retired. He loved his race cars, bowling, basketball, baseball and football. He played basketball in high school and his motto was "always alert for a girl in a skirt".
Ronnie and his brother, Dale, owned and operated Hall Construction out of Ravenna until 1997.
Survivors include his loving wife, the former Linda Mae Gardner, whom he married on August 8, 1980; his seven daughters, Rhonda (Pat) Kelleher, Anita Battershell, Brenda Robinson, Cindy (Mike) Greiner, Brenda Lee Horner, Stephanie (Christopher) Hughes and Shelby Hall; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. His sister, Arlene Rhoades is also surviving, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that mourn his loss.
Other than his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his siblings, Judith, Dale and Stanley Hall.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 22, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44305, (330) 784-3334. Pastor John Lee will celebrate Ronald's life.
Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday, July 21, 2019 from 1:00 - 4:00 PM.
Ron will be laid to rest at Edinburg Cemetery.
