Robert A. Stull, 85 passed away June 30th, 2019 in New Jersey after a courageous eight year battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

He is preceded in death by his son, Timothy Robert Stull, who passed away July 31, 2005 at the age of 46.

Bob will be greatly missed by his wife of 62 years, Sandra Gail Stull of West Deptford, New Jersey; his daughter, Tamara (William) Giordano; grandchildren, Joshua (Rebecca) Stull, Amanda (Dominic) Carrera and Alexander Kostick; great-grandchildren, Anderson “AJ” Stull and Elliana Carrera; step-grandchildren, Nikolaas, Heather, Alexandra and Eric; brothers, nieces, nephews, other family members and numerous friends.

Bob was born April 30, 1934 in Akron, Ohio. He broke the mile run record at Central High School in 1952 and held that record for many years. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1954 – 1956. He was very proud of his service and always wore his Korea Veterans ball cap. Bob retired in 1998 from Millcraft Paper Co. after 48 years of service.

He met Gail, the love of his life in 1953. They married in 1957 and had two children, Timothy and Tamara.

Bob enjoyed life and playing baseball. He coached for his son and daughter and played baseball himself into his 60’s. Bob was also an avid golfer and played on many clubs and teams. He and his wife, Gail spent many winters playing golf in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Bob was a Christian man and lived his life fully for the Lord. He was a deacon at Grace Baptist Church, an usher, and sang in the choir and ensemble. His family was his life and he would do anything for anyone! He will be greatly missed by all.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, July 26 from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church, 704 N. Firestone Blvd., Akron OH 44306 where a memorial service will begin at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Bob Stephens officiating. Inurnment will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
