James E. Woodrum, 84, of Wadsworth, passed away on February 13, 2019. He was born on December 5, 1934 in Montcoal, WV to the late Kenneth and Pink Woodrum. Jimmy worked at Ford Motor in Brook Park, OH for 35 years. He loved working on cars, fishing, and running mules. On January 10, 2019, he celebrated 60 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Veleria. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Veleria Woodrum; sons, James D of Wadsworth, Donald W. of Oklahoma, Lucky J. (Tammy) of Gasaway, WV, Ronald G. (Naomi) of Marietta, OH, Rex A. Woodrum of Wadworth; daughters, Gaye R. Coffee of Rittman, Shelva A. (Kenneth) Holms of Wadsworth; 15 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Lou Ward of Parma, Edith Williams of Medina, Joyce Mills of North Carolina, Laura Wilson of West Virginia, and Betty Barker of West Virginia. Family and friends may visit on Monday, February 18, 2019 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Ronald G. Woodrum officiating. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wadsworth.
