Marie Terese Hilton
1968 - 2019

Marie Terese Hilton, 50, of Akron, passed away February 2, 2019. Many knew her as Marie, but only a few had the pleasure of knowing her as MiMi. Marie was the epitome of a woman who loved her family with all she had. She was a natural born leader, from teaching and instructing yoga meditation classes, to helping guide anyone who sought her help in their daily life. She never failed to go above and beyond for the ones she held dear.
When we were kids, we asked for a doll house but she gave us a castle. Every birthday, we received handmade birthday cards signed with kisses. She made blankets for each of us as seniors for the colleges we wanted to attend. Every year on Mother's Day and Father's Day, Marie made sure she spent the whole day with her parents, Mildred and Frank. Throughout her life, no matter the circumstance, she always had her two partners in crime: her little brother Frank and sister Charlotte. Marie had fond memories of tapping around the stage with her little sister, never knowing what corner her brother might be hiding around, waiting to scare her. Marie will be terribly missed each and every day.
Your love is like the wind, MiMi...we may not see it but we can feel it.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1580 Brown St, Akron. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
