In Memory Of
Karen E. Swank
1943 - 2019

Karen E. Swank, 75, of Akron, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on January 3, 2019.

After 20 years, Karen Swank (nee Botzer) is free from Alzheimer's, and has joined her husband of 51 years, Terry in Heaven.

Karen was a lover of birds, roses, puzzles, Solitaire, Scrabble, word searches, and soap operas. She was also a huge fan of Elvis (even in cupcake form), especially his hymns. The memories, learned lessons, and positive examples she gave us will forever be in the hearts of all blessed enough to meet her.

Karen was preceded in death by her beloved soul mate, Terry Swank.

Left to cherish Karen's memory are her daughters, Angela (Alan) Currey, Terri Lynn (Robert) Lemmon, and Lori (David) Havrilla; grandchildren, Christopher (JoAnne) Currey, Jennifer Ehret, Amber Currey (Matt McBride), Brad (Sarah) Lemmon, Jessica (Will) Viall; great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Kayden, Felicity, Miranda, Lincoln, Adalynn, Olivia, and Eli; granddogs, Roxi, Diesel, Zilla, Optimus, and Walter; and many extended family members and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Summit Villa/Pinnacle, Hospice of Western Reserve, and Karla Maple for their continued support and care over the years.

Friends and family are welcome to Newcomer 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, to visit on Tuesday January 8, 2019 from 4pm until 8pm. A memorial service will take place on Thursday January 10, 2019 at Tallmadge Alliance Church 1155 East Ave Tallmadge, OH 44278 at 11am, with an hour of visitation prior. Services will be officiated by Rev. Karla Maple. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
