William Ross Wilson Jr, 88, left this life November 3, 2018. Born July 1, 1930 in Akron, Bill retired from the Akron Police Department, was a successful and respected business man, and an entrepreneur. He proudly served as an Army veteran.

Bill leaves behind his wife of nearly 30 years, Sherryl Frost Wilson and former wife, Ruth Burchett; daughters, Marilyn Croskey and Denise (Alan) Beougher, as well as Sherryl's daughter, Debra (Rick) Getz; grandchildren, Michelle (Ray Cole) Wagner, Amanda (Andrew Nalette) Ake, Richie (Alicia Stanley) Ake, Nic (Alyssa) Ake, Josh (Bailey Echard) Ake, and Michael Getz; great-grandchildren, Keirston Maybury, Layton Maybury and Abram Wagner; brother, John (Carol) Wilson and a host of much loved nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by sisters, Bettie (Ken) Klontz and Janet (Bill) Stafford.

Bill will be sorely missed by these and a multitude of friends and family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him!

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and private arrangements will be held.
