Konrad Jakob, Jr., age 74 of Akron, Ohio, is now in the presence of our Lord, passing on Monday, November 5, 2018 at Akron City Hospital.

He was born on January 29, 1944 in Akron, the son of the late Konrad and Katherine (nee Miller) Jakob, Sr.

Konrad was a 1962 graduate of Central Hower Vocational School. He was an auto mechanic for various dealerships and private companies. He also was a service technician for AA Toth Company and also the Oreck Company.

Mr. Jakob enjoyed his church, RC Airplanes, fishing, motorcycling, but his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, the former Sharon Tolle, whom he married on June 10, 2000; his daughter, Conni (Don) Burket; his step-children, Keith Rush, Bryan (Teresa) Rush, and Tim (Jodi) Rush; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; his siblings, Kathy (Virgil) Lucas and John (Helen) Jakob; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Other than his parents, Konrad was preceded in death by his siblings, Don Jakob and Elizabeth Stewart.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Arlington Memorial Baptist Church, 2330 East Market Street, Akron, Ohio 44312, where Pastor Dave Bogue will celebrate Konrad's life.

Family and friends may visit at the church from 9:00 - 10:45 AM, on Friday, prior to the 11 AM service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Capital Campaign at the church.

Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of the Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron.
