After a courageous battle with cancer, James “Jim” S. Adkins, 74, of Tallmadge, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on November 2, 2018.

Jim loved life. He worked hard and always treated his friends as family. He loved traveling, going to the beach, mountain jeeping, all Buckeye sports, college football and restoring classic guns. He was a kind, generous, and caring man whose family always came first.

Jim was a graduate of Kent High School, US Naval Veteran of the Vietnam War (1968 - 1971) and a Retired Cement Mason.
Left to rejoice in his memory is Melissa “Missi” Adkins his wife and best friend of 37 years. He is also survived by his brother Darell (Laurie) Roliff and sister Sally (Bill Stewart) Roliff, Sister-in-law Verla Williams, Nieces Angel (Tom) Hartz, Lindsey Gray, Nephew Daniel Roliff, and Great Nephew, Noah Hartz.
