Joseph Thomas Mastaso, "Joe", age 32, of Clinton, Ohio, passed away on October 9, 2018 after a long and courageous battle. He lost his fight to addiction.

He was born on June 5, 1986 in Barberton, Ohio.

Joe was a 2004 graduate of Garfield High School. He loved his family, playing video games, music and recently sky diving. He lived and worked at New Destiny for the past three years, where he was doing so well. His most recent passions included his church family, counseling others, feeding the homeless, and being a good father. We were so proud of him.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Victor and Lori (nee Menhorn) Mastaso; his most precious and beautiful daughter, Rose Kury; his brother, Nicholas (Felicia) Mastaso; his sisters, Angela Mastaso (Joey) and Jessica Mastaso (Brian); his special nieces and nephews, Katlynn, Aidan, Anthony, and Natalie.

He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Vickie (Pat) Gramley, Vince (Kim) Mastaso, Valerie (Randy) Midcap, Veronica (Cory) Schwartz, Ellen (Bill) Rex, Linda (Jim) Fettler, and many special cousins and friends.

Joe was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dominic and Elizabeth "Betty" (nee Stewart) Mastaso, and John and Patricia "Pat" (nee Kastner) Menhorn.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved his kind heart.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, at 11:00 AM, where Pastor Joe Farris will celebrate Joe's life.
