Jackson E. Miller, III, "Jack", age 45 of Akron, passed away peacefully at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at 6:19 PM after a 5 1/2 year battle with cancer.

He was born in Akron, the son of Deborah (nee Bartley) Miller of Green and the late Jackson E. Miller, Jr.

Jack was a 1992 graduate of Ellet High School and also a graduate of the Ohio College of Massotherapy. He was a facility ambassador at the John S. Knight Center in Akron. He enjoyed playing his guitar, listening to music, and jam sessions with his friends. He loved going to watch his daughters, Cheyenne, play softball, and, Marissa, play Lacrosse.

In addition to his mother and his daughters all of Akron, he leaves his loving wife and high school sweetheart, the former Carolyn S. Ross, whom he married on December 8, 2000; his siblings, Kelly Smallwood, Melinda "Mindy" Miller, Eric (Lea) Miller, and David (Lori) Smallwood; his aunt Pamela "Pam" and uncle Charles "Chuck" Jones; as well as, numerous family and friends.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 4:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, where Pastor Dave Denny will celebrate Jack's life. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00 - 4:00 PM.
