Larry was born on February 25, 1954 in Bayonne, NJ. He attended Springfield High School, and worked as a machinist for his entire career. He enjoyed coaching the youth of Lakemore/Springfield, working on classic cars, collecting sports cards, and playing softball, but above all he cherished spending time with his five grandchildren. He was a longtime member of Lakemore United Methodist Church, where he also coached co-ed softball and basketball.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Agnes Barlow; and sister, Renee Weyrick. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 45 years, Donna; daughter, Tina (Walter) Patterson; son, Larry (Jessica) Barlow; grandchildren, Preston, Kaylee, Ava, Hunter, and Elijah; sister, Carol Barlow; and many cousins and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Absolute Home Hospice (especially Wendy and Becky) for their loving care.
Friends and family are welcome to Newcomer 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, to visit on Thursday August 16, 2018 from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. A funeral service will take place at 6:30pm with Pastor Jeff Gindlesberger from Lakemore United Methodist Church to officiate.
