Lynne M. Ward, age 69 of Hartville, Ohio, died on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at 5:44 PM at Mercy Medical Center in Canton, Ohio.

She was born on July 14, 1949 in Akron, the daughter of the late Ralph and Mildred (nee Lindsey) Wilson.

Lynne was a graduate of Springfield High School and was an LPN. She retired from Fortis College in Dothan, Alabama, where she taught in the Medical Assisting program. She enjoyed her church family. Lynne was very active at Hartville Gospel Mission Church where she was the Adult Sunday School Teacher. Her greatest enjoyment was being with her family, especially her grandchildren and was looking forward to becoming a great-grandmother for the first time.

Survivors include her sons, Andrew, Jesse, Adam (Tiffany), and Benjamin (Anna) Ward; her grandchildren, Lauren, Jeremiah, Elizabeth, Lucas, Benjamin, Jr., and Gabrielle; and her step-grandchildren, Kendra and Hailey.

Other than her parents, Lynne was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Ward on February 24, 2005, they were united in marriage on November 5, 1966; her grandmother, Ruth Wilson, who helped raise her.

Calling hours will take place on Friday, August 17, 2018 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at the Hartville Gospel Mission Church, 5405 Pinedale Street, Hartville, Ohio.

Funeral services will take place at the church on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 11:00 AM, where Pastor Clinton Casto will celebrate Lynne's life.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron, Ohio.
