In Memory Of
Allan D. "Al" Hart
1942 - 2018
He was born on October 28, 1942 in Akron, the son of the late Wesley Martin and Beulah Lavina (nee Griffin) Hart.
Allan was a 1961 graduate of Green High School. He was a truck driver locally, he started at Oliver Truck Lines and retried from Wooster Motor Ways, after 47 years. Some of his hobbies were COLLECTING anything he got his hands on; anyone that knew him, knew his truck driver humor and jokes- and every time he had a Giuseppe Pizza Box he would "decorate" them. Coffee and cigarettes were his two biggest vices, that he loved. He kept all the local boys in check, and made sure to teach them how to be a loving man.
Mr. Hart was an honorably discharged US Army National Guard veteran during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his loving wife, the former Bonnie L. Cutting, whom he married on March 18, 1966; his two children, Renee (Edward) Meyer and David Hart; six grandchildren, Randy Hart, Justin Bell, Larry (Liz) Bell, Allan Hart, Madison Hart, and Noah Papai; five great-grandchildren, Andrew, Ruth, Aria, Leona Bell, and Emily Hart. Also surviving is his sister, Helen Craver.
Other than his parents, Al was preceded in death by his siblings, Wesley, Marion, and Arthur James Hart.
A GRAND CELEBRATION OF ALLAN'S LIFE will take place at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron. Pastor Harold Bradley will celebrate his life.
Calling hours will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home on Monday, March 5, 2018 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.
Allan will be laid to rest in East Liberty Cemetery in Green.
