Sharon (Haught) Asay, 65, passed away after a courageous battle with a long illness on February 8, 2018. She was born September 16, 1952 to Charles and Carrie Haught. Sharon loved being a mother and grandmother - her family meant everything to her. She was very passionate about cooking and baking, enjoyed bowling, music, and playing practical jokes.

Sharon was preceded in death by a sister, Gail, and nephew, Ryan. She is survived by children; Amy (Al) Bess, Robert (Rachel) Duncan, Johnny (Laura) Goshko; grandchildren, John, Kim, Amber, Matthew, Madison, Shannon, Mason, Cierra, LJ; parents, Charles and Carrie; sisters, Robin, Carla (Tom); and many other family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4-7pm on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service will take place at 1pm on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 with visitation one hour prior to service. Cremation will take place at a later date.
