David Carl Withrow, age 65 of Akron, Ohio, died on November 5, 2017.

He was born in Akron on March 19, 1952, the son of Ena (nee Wright) Withrow Swain of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and the late Carlos Ivan Withrow.

Dave loved his cacti, cars and karate. He worked for Ford Motors and eventually retried from there. Dave lived his life like his favorite quote, "live each day as though it were your last."

Dave will be deeply missed by his mother, Ena Swain; sons, Max (Angela) Withrow and Jason Withrow; brothers, Roy (Diane) Withrow and George Wright; sister, Carol Ann (Daniel) McCann; his grandchildren; his good friend, Sheila Northcraft; best pet Mawmaw; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family gives thanks to the ICU Critical Care at Akron City Hospital and Select Specialty Hospital, and an extra special thank you to Nurse Amy-thank you again.

Per David's wishes, no services will be held. He will be cremated and his ashes are to be scattered in New Mexico among Sequoia Cacti.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home -Akron.
