Michael Weekley, 76, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014. Michael was born in Wilbur, West Virginia on May 27, 1938 to the late Dale and Eska Weekley. Michael was a lifelong resident of Akron, Ohio and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after 45 1/2 years of service. He was a member of Wayfarer Lodge 789 F & AM and Scottish Rite Valley of Akron. He enjoyed spending time with his good friends and family at his summer home in West Union, West Virginia for the last 30 years and also enjoyed spending time with his good friends and family in Ohio. Mike will be remembered for his kindness and loving ways with people. He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Kuhl Weekley of 57 years; son, Mitchell (Reva) Weekley of Tallmadge; sisters, Bonnie (Andy) Slinkosky; Rick; Judy (Ron) Finney and Erik; sister-in-law, Rosemary Kuhl Hysell; life long friend "brother" Howard (Carole) Pierson and many loving nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call on, Monday, December 22, 2014 from 12-2pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron, where funeral services will be held at 2:00pm. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Guiding Eyes for the Blind at www.guidingeyes.org.
