Lawrence J. Long Jr. 51 passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 22, 2015. Larry was born May 11, 1964 in Ravenna, Ohio. He worked as a carpet and floor installer. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served from 1981-1989.

He was a member of the Stow Falls Baptist Church. He loved camping, fishing, walking in the woods and reading. Larry touched so many lives with his love, compassion, wisdom, skills, jokes and stories.

If you knew him well you could call him Lingo.

He would give you the shirt off his back or his last dollar if you needed it. He will be deeply missed.

Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Long and grandmother, Mary Long.

He is survived by his wife, Renee (Thompson) Long; sons, Perry, William and Nicholas; father, Lawrence (Christine) Long, Sr.; brothers, Michael Todd (Lewrie) Long and Christopher (Laura) Long; sister, Debbie (Long) Bird; grandchildren, Riley, and Cayden and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.


Calling hours will be Thursday, July 2, 2015 from 6 to 8pm at Stow Falls Baptist Church, 1601 Munroe Falls Ave. Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221. A memorial service will be held in the church on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 11am. Burial will follow at 2:00pm in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery
