Survivors include his wife and sweetheart of over 45 years, Barb; brother, Richard; sisters, Bev and Dee; son, Scott; grandkids, Josh and Savannah; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.
Don worked at Akron Porcelain for over 40 years, attended Springfield Baptist Church for 27 years, bowled at Turkeyfoot and Bill White Lanes for over 40 years. Don served with the US Army in Vietnam.
Calling hours will be Thursday, 5-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, where a funeral service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
