"John" Tollie Evans
"John" Tollie Evans, born August 2, 1948, departed this world July 23, 2010. He was preceded in death by his father, Tolly Estill Evans. He is survived by his mother, Opal Mae Addis; wife, Patricia Lynn Evans; daughter, Velvet Diane (Jeff) Arthurs; stepsons, John and Christopher Heinnickel; grandchildren, Nick, Brandy, Jacob, and Courtney; brothers, Glen (Sherry), Rick (Michele), Bobby (Liz), and Larry; and best friends, Arlita Evans and Wendall Light. John was a member of American Legion Post #175. He has been cremated. A celebration of life service will be Saturday, July 31st at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity UCC, 915 N. Main St., Akron, with Rev. Carl Wallace officiating. Memorials may be made to the Trinity Scholarship Fund.
