Dexter I. Blair
Dexter I. Blair, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord on July 11, 2018 after a short battle with cancer.
Dex worked at the Board of Elections. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #750 for over 50 years, and a member at Grace Baptist Church for 8 years.
Dex was a handy man. He loved to work on houses, and was always tinkering, tearing apart and rebuilding. He loved classic cars, food, 50's music, animals and feeding the deer, but above all he cherished spending time with his family (especially his grandchildren).
Dex was preceded in death by his parents, George and Nancy Blair; sister, Linda Anders; and sons, David Blair, Michael Blair, and Mark Blair.
Dex will be deeply missed by his wife, Dorothy Blair; son, Brian (Michele) Blair; daughter-in-law, Angie; brother, Danny (Cheryl) Blair; sister, Faith (Don) Charlton; grandchildren, Haley Marie, Jacob, and Elliott; and numerous other family members and friends.
A funeral service will take place at Grace Baptist Church 704 N Firestone Blvd, Akron, OH 44306 on Monday July 16, 2018 at 10:30am. Interment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
