Robert J. McMullen Sr. of Akron, OH passed away May 2, 2018.
He was born August 2, 1935 to the late Joseph and Mana McMullen in Akron, OH. Robert graduated from Central High School in 1954. He married Blanche C. McMullen in 1967 and they lived in Akron for 51 years together. He was a loyal, loving, and hardworking husband and father. He had a love for history, boxing, and current events. He worked at Ford Motor Company for 48 years to support and to give his family a good life. His expression of love was to provide for his loved ones through hard work.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Blanche. He was a deeply caring father to the surviving Christiane Agwu, Uchechukwu Agwu (husband) and to the late Robert J. McMullen Jr. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Zoe Agwu and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 8, 2018 from 10-12 followed by a 12 noon funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
