1930 - 2018

Thomas E. Good Sr.,87, of Green, passed away on February 22, 2018.
He was born in Akron, Ohio on July 15, 1930 to the late William and Lucille Good. Thomas spent almost his entire life in the Akron area.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Good; and sons, Thomas E. Good Jr. and Terry L. Good.
He will be dearly missed by his children, Vickie L. Hornacek, Gerald W. Good, Richard A. Good, and Deanna L. Good; stepchildren, Christina Amaral, Joni Pavlic, and Janet Stafford; and many grandchildren.
Tom had well over 40 years of service with the Firestone Rubber Company. He worked at Babcock & Wilcox before enlisting in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After the war, Tom devoted himself to cars for the rest of his life. Of all the things that Tom loved, nothing was greater than the love of his life - his wife Joanne. They were happily married for 44 years until her death in 2013. Tom will also be missed by his countless car buddies and friends from the weekends he spent at Wink's in Barberton. He also enjoyed his Thursday nights at Maize Valley Winery. Tom also loved to travel and see the country.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 12-2 followed by a 2:00 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Tom will be laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
