Clarence Nelson Huddleston, age 86, of Stow, Ohio, passed on Monday, February 19, 2018 at his home.

He was born on January 6, 1932 in Stow, the son of the late Elias and Gertrude (nee Murphy) Huddleston.

Clarence was an a local truck driver for Thomas Asphalt and Shrewsberry Trucking and his CB Handle was "Butterball", and at work he was known as "Huddy". He loved watching westerns, NASCAR, and wrestling. In his younger years he raced in the demolition derby. Clarence enjoyed riding his tractor, whether it was mowing grass, plowing snow, or teaching his grandchildren how to drive the tractor. One of his hobbies was to collect aluminum cans, crush them, and turn them in on Earth Day.

Survivors include his children, Chrystal (Brad) Martin, Ann (Chris Kennedy) Mangum, Pete Huddleston, Jeremy Petty, Selena (Art) Edgar, Sharon (Harry) Awalt, Debbie (Kevin) Dietterich, and Linda (Leonard) Bittinger; his 28 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, and 21 great-great-grandchildren; one nephew, Butch Richards; five grand-dogs and two great-grand-dogs.

Other than his parents, Clarence was preceded in death by his loving wife, the former Elnora Woofter, on December 9, 2013 and they were united in marriage in Akron on December 15, 1968; his children, Larry Huddleston and Joyce Howe; his siblings, Kenneth, Lee, and Carl Huddleston and Vivian Cooley.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 12:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, where Mr. Leonard Bittinger will celebrate Clarence's life.

Family and friends may visit from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at the funeral home on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one's own favorite charity or to the American Cancer Society.
