Shirley Jane (nee Casteel) Boskovitch Kalman, “Janie”, of Akron, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on February 8, 2018 at the age of 82.

Janie was born to her late parents, Roger and Mabel Casteel on July 19, 1935 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania.

Janie is survived by her children, Joanne Poling, John Boskovitch, and Ronnie (Cynthia) Boskovitch; her siblings, Lois (Bill) Sampson, Lucy (Larry) Goldberg, Connie Hill, and Bud (Michele) Casteel; her son-in-law, Harley Galloway; her grandchildren, Crystal Boskovitch, Meriah (Anthony) Fleming, and Matt Boskovitch; her great-grandchildren, Logan, Marisa, Leland, and Ireland; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her former husbands, Joseph Boskovitch and Louis Kalman; her daughter, Holly Angel Galloway; and her siblings, Elizabeth Ulrich, Dee Siebert, and Bucky Casteel.

There will be no services as cremation has already taken place. The family is grateful for the condolences, but declines flowers and donations.

“A Golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.”

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron.
