Marian F. Heil, 83, of Akron, went peacefully to be with the Lord on February 9, 2018. She was born in Altoona, PA to the late Michael Leroy and Elsie Hastie.

Marian dedicated her whole life to God and her family. She was very involved in music ministry; she sang in a trio, and was a gifted pianist, playing in various churches throughout the years since she was 12 years old, including Southeast Church of the Nazarene for over 50 years.

She loved spending time with her family, going on yearly vacations and hosting and celebrating the holiday traditions with them. Marian loved to play practical jokes, and she loved to laugh and giggle with her family.

In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, John and Eleanor Hastie; nephew, Thomas Hastie; and brother-in-law, James Davidson.

Left to cherish Marian's memory are her devoted husband of 64 years, Ralph D. Heil; children, Linda (Bill) Allen, of Cuyahoga Falls, and David (Debbie) Heil of Laurel Hill, FL; sister, Margaret Davidson; grandchildren, Heather (Blake) Hokamp, Kimberly (Chris) Roy, Phillip (Danielle) Heil, Kelly (Seth) Frink, Joshua (Jennifer) Allen, Jessica Allen, Christine Allen, Rosemary (Richard) Thomas; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Grace, Liberty, Josef, Nora, Sophie, Wyatt, Jackson, McKenzie, and Ethan; and many other family members.

Friends and family are welcome to Newcomer 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, on Friday February 16, 2018 to visit from 5pm-8pm. A funeral ceremony will take place on Saturday February 17, 2018 at 11am at Southeast Church of the Nazarene 771 Dunbar Rd., Tallmadge, with an hour of visitation prior.
