Robert "Bobby" Coomes, 69, passed away unexpectedly on January 12, 2018. He was born February 3, 1948 in Canton, OH to late parents, Richard and Minnie Coomes. He grew up and graduated from Stow High School (class of '66) and remained a huge Bulldogs fan. Bobby enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and family, watching the Browns and Indians, and was a regular usher at Blessed Trinity Church in Akron. He was a loving husband and a great father. Bobby was the type of man to help anyone in need and saw the good in everything. He will never be forgotten.

Bobby is preceded in death by brother, Jimmy Coomes, and brother-in-law, Don Farmer. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Lois; children, Duane Coomes and Lisa (Russ Lanham) Coomes; grandchildren, Bryson and Alex Lanham; siblings, Elizabeth Farmer, Charles Coomes, Ron (Janet) Coomes, Steve (Kay) Coomes; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4-8pm on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral mass will begin at 10am on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Blessed Trinity Church, 300 E. Tallmadge Ave., Akron. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park, Akron, to follow.
