He was born on August 16, 1949 in Oak Hill, WV, the son of the late Leslie J. and Rachel (nee Hensley) Carrington.
Glenn enjoyed music, fishing, hunting, and being in the outdoors. He was also a very good cement worker. He worked in many fields, he especially liked working with his late brother, James.
Survivors include his five children, Keith (Jacqueline) Carrington, Stephanie Carrington, Lori Carrington, and Brian Keith Carrington; a child that Glenn raised, Brad Hill; 12 grandchildren; his siblings, Deanna "Kay" (Jerry) Pringle, Virginia (Todd) Bittner, Larry (Linda) Carrington, Leslie (Jeff) Kalail, Polly (Gene) Petty, Tammy (Joe) Smith, and Annette Knight; and one sister-in-law, Nancy Carrington also survives.
Other than his parents, Glenn was preceded in death by his brother, James Carrington; and his companion of 30 years, Mishan Hill.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, where Pastor Robert Drummond will celebrate Glenn's life.
Family and friends may visit from 10:00 - 11:00 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Glenn will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Cemetery in Uniontown.
A special thanks to Great Lakes Home Care Services, especially his nurse, Vicky Miller and her team, they were exceptionally great. Also the family wishes to thank the Summit Villa Nursing Home in Tallmadge and especially his nurse, "His Tammy".
