Patricia Helen Goodall (nee Daugherty), devoted daughter, loving wife, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, musician and artist, passed away on October 14, 2017 from natural causes at The Village of St. Edward.

Patty was born in Akron, August 6, 1924; the first-born of four children to Thomas H. and Edith G. Daugherty. She was schooled at Seiberling Elementary, Sacred Heart Academy the University of Akron and was a member of Theta Phi Alpha sorority, where she made several life-long friends. During her college years, she worked as a secretary at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church and Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company.

She met the love of her life, Patrick J. Goodall, at a dance held at Annunciation Catholic Church, where they both worshiped. Patty and Pat were married on May 18, 1946. They eventually settled in Firestone Park, and were faithful members of St. Paul Catholic Church. They raised a small army of six children, and Patty involved herself in supporting school activities and outings, making a wonderful home, and raising her kids with boundless love and support. As her kids grew, she came to enjoy traveling with Pat, golfing and a hot game of bridge with friends.

Patty was a deeply spiritual woman. Whether it was attending Mass regularly, reading and discussing scripture with friends, attending Cursillo events, or merely spending quiet time in prayer, her love of God was always the focus. It was a value she always took the time to instill in her kids, and manifest to all whom she met.

Patty was a gifted singer with gentle, lilting alto voice. Singing harmony came naturally to her. Some of her happiest hours were spent practicing and performing with the St. Paul choir.

Later in life, Patty brought forth artistry that had likely been percolating her entire life. She began painting; first oils and then watercolors. Patty’s later years were spent as a resident of the Village of St. Edward, where she made many friends and charmed the socks off the staff. Patty's family is grateful for all the love and care provided.

Patty was preceded in death by her husband Pat, her parents, brothers and sisters-in-law Francis, Richard (Peggy), and Kenneth (Mary), son Thomas, and granddaughter Erin Geoghegan.

She is survived by her children Eileen Ropar (John), Tim (Joanne), Patrick (Jan), Ann Polack (Jim) and Rosemary Hearn (Bill), daughter-in-law Carol Goodall, sister-in-law Rosemary Daugherty, eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Her family, and those she touched with her grace and kindness, are her living legacy.

“Love you more. Love you the most."
