Elmer C. Wolfe Jr., "Sonny" "Fat Daddy" 83, of Akron, passed away October 8, 2017. Elmer was born in Akron, Ohio on November 22, 1933 to the late Elmer and Ruth Wolfe. He retired from Ruhlin Construction as a Laborer/Finisher with over 40 years and he Honorably served in the U.S. Air Force during Peace Time in Korea as a Teletype Communications Repairman. Elmer served as past president of Local 894 Retirees and a member of Local 109, Goodyear Boating Club for 45 years and belonged to 3 hunting clubs in Harrison County. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and loved boating.

In addition to his parents, Elmer was preceded in death; sisters, Delight, Betty and Jean.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 56 1/2 years, Peggy Jo Wolfe; children, Randall Carl (Carla) Reynolds, Cindy (Russell) Cox, Michael Carl (Angie) Wolfe Sr., Marc Wendell (Linda) Wolfe Sr., John Edward Wolfe and Bonnie June Jones; grandchildren, Melissa, David, Chris (Andrea), Marc Jr., Chanelle, Kane, Michael Jr., Izzy, Milesa, Brittany Butcher, Joey Butcher and Randy Winegate; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, June Stevison, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 5 pm with visitation immediately following the service until 9:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Road, Akron. Procession will form at 9:15 am at the funeral home on Thursday, October 12, 2017 for a 10:30 appointment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
