In Memory Of
Dorothy Ellen Maione
1930 - 2017

Dorothy Ellen Maione, 86, passed away suddenly at her home on Friday August 18. Born in Blue Ridge, GA, she was a resident of Tallmadge Ohio for most of her life. Dorothy enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, crafting, traveling, gardening, baseball, basketball, cooking and baking her amazing cookies and pies. But her greatest joy was being surrounded by her children and beloved grandchildren. Dorothy was loved by all, knew no strangers and her door was always open. She was generous, loyal, compassionate, loving, had a joyful laugh, but her most inspiring attribute was her kind heart and forgiving nature.
Dorothy was married to the love of her life, Tony, for 53 years. Hard working, loving and devoted, together they raised five children and provided a lively, passionate and colorful home, the hub of all family activity.
Sadly preceded in death by her husband, Tony, son Ralph, and sister Marlene Wolfe, she is survived by daughter Debby (Bill Blankenship), daughter Mary Ellen (Mike King), daughter Tammy Duben, son Danny Maione, 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, lifelong friend Bill Williams and other special friends.
Friends and family may call at Newcomer Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 22 from 4-7 pm and Wednesday August 23 at 10am, service at 11am, immediately followed by burial at Hillside Memorial Park.
