He was born on January 21, 1956 in Peru, IN, the son of the late Richard Lee and Marilyn Ann Birmingham Domer.
Doug worked for Taylor Construction in Brimfield; he was an excellent cook, loved to shoot guns, but his greatest joy was being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He attended and was an enthusiast at all of his grandchildren's sporting events. All his grandchildren called him "Honey".
Survivors include his loving wife, the former Cheryle Butler, whom he married on April 8, 1995; his children, Tanya (Brett) Reynolds, Michelle Kudlawiec, and Cheri (Nick) Gerring; his grandchildren, Brandon, Nathan, Jenna, Kayla, Tyler, Corey, Austin, Paige, and Addison; one sister also survives, Sue (Mark) Cutler and their son, Markie (Holly) Cutler; and one aunt, Noreen (Earl) Bird and their daughter, Jennifer.
Other than his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Domer.
There will be a memorial visitation on Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron.
